Who I Am

I am Grey Pair, an interdisciplinary artist, originally from the Ozarks in Arkansas, currently studying at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD.

My work explores a variety of media, from cinematography, photography, painting, fiber arts, community art, and sculpture.

I am a member of the Delta Alpha Phi international honor society and a Dean’s grant recipient.

Academically and artistically, my highest achievements have been my community work. Since arriving in Baltimore (two years ago), I began volunteering at the Baltimore Station, an all-male veterans shelter and rehab clinic. I have taken this practice and made it a permanent work-study at MICA; in doing so, I have also helped secure additional funds for the art program, bringing in new workshops and lessons. We are now beginning to paint a mural within the station.

I have also taught in a youth summer program in Pine Bluff, AR, and have traveled as a missionary to Chicago, New Mexico, South Dakota, and throughout Central Arkansas to provide aid to those in need.
